  • Short form: MKV or King
  • Shared 4-bedroom suites
  • 320 residents
  • 2 wings (East and West) with 4 floors in each wing
  • You'll live on a floor with 39 other residents and your don
  • Most floors are co-ed, but each suite is single sex (upper-year students may request a mixed-gender suite)
  • Optional meal plan
MKV Community Centre

The Community Centre is the hub of activity at MKV. It includes a large lounge area with big-screen TV, gaming tables, the laundry room, and the front desk. As a student in residence you are welcome to use the amenities available in other residences.

 

Front DeskThe MKV Front Desk

The MKV community Front Desk is open 7 days a week (including holidays) from 8 am - 12 midnight.

The Front Desk offers the following services to residents:

  • faxing
  • stamps for purchase
  • parcel pick up
  • mail distribution
  • sign out of equipment, facilities, and movies
  • assistance if locked out

Laundry

WatCard-operated laundry facilities are located in the main laundry facility. Irons and ironing boards are also available from the main office for you to use.

A bike room is available to Mackenzie King residents.  This is a safe and dry place to store your bike. Outdoor bike racks are also available.

As a UW resident, you also have access to amenities located in other residence buildings.  These include:

REV CafRon Eydt Village – REVelation (closed in spring term)

  • Monday - Friday: 7 am – 7 pm
  • Saturday - Sunday: 11 am – 7 pm

Village 1 – Mudie’s

  • Monday – Friday:  7 am – 12:30 am
  • Saturday - Sunday: 8 am – 12:30 am
  • 24 hours/day during final exams each term
