Why should I join ResCouncil?

There are so many reasons, but here are the Top 10:

  1. You'll meet new friends from all over residence
  2. You can help plan great events
  3. It looks great on a resume (co-op anyone?)
  4. We have a budget for events ($5000 per term) and you'll get a say in how its spent
  5. You'll be the first to know everything that is going on in residence
  6. It's not a huge time committment (a one hour meeting every 2 weeks)
  7. You'll develop great skills (like communication and event planning)
  8. We have cool freebies and great snacks
  9. ResCouncil is a great first step to getting involved on campus (past ResCouncil members have gone on to become Orientation leaders, Dons, and even Feds Executives!)
  10. It's a lot of FUN!

How can I become an Executive?

Executive applications are due Thursday, September 13th at 5:00 pm, and are available online. Applications will be reviewed by the Residence Council Co-ordinators, who will select candidates to run in the executive elections, held at the first ResCouncil meeting on Tuesday, September 18th at 10:15 pm.
