About Residence Tour Guides
The Residence Tour Guide Program provides a leadership opportunity for roughly 25 residents, and is a great way to get involved in residence.
The Tour Guide team is made up of mostly first year students as it was not too long ago that they were researching and visiting university campuses. However, upper year students are welcome to apply as the team is not limited to only those in their first year.
The pay rate for this position is $9.50 per hour.
Tour Guides:
- The Guides give tours of their own rooms or suites, and residence facilities during the set tour times each week.
- They serve as a face for UW Residences, and are knowledgeable about residence admissions processes, residence programming and tons of other important residence specific information.
- The Guides also participate in the Special Event Days which are the Fall and March Break Open Houses, You@Waterloo Day, and Student Life 101.
- They receive on-going training sessions, attend monthly meetings, and have team socials.
If you are friendly, enthusiastic, professional, and looking to get involved in residence then please submit an application to become a Residence Tour Guide. Please note this position is only available for students living in REV, V1, UWP and CLV-South.
